One of the many gifts of ADHD is the ability to sense what is going on underneath the way things appear. I have found this ADHD intuitive ability to work well with both reading people and finding the truth in situations. Perhaps the reason this ability seems well developed in people with ADHD is because it’s needed to compensate for and survive in the difficult situations in which people with ADHD find themselves. One of the interesting things I have found is that people with ADHD often don’t notice the degree to which they use this ability, or that they use it at all, until examples are pointed out to them. I call it” trust your gut” and “trust your instincts”. I teach my ADHD clients how to further harness and trust this ability in conscious ways to make good decisions and better direct their lives. Who else would like to comment on this ability from your own experience or observation?
